Sono state annunciate le nomination per i The Game Awards 2023, l’ormai tradizionale evento di Geoff Keighley che premia il meglio del meglio dei videogiochi dell’ultimo anno. Un’assenza fa già tanto rumore.
Per il premio di Gioco dell’Anno (GOTY 2023), la giuria ha deciso che i contendenti saranno Baldur’s Gate 3, Alan Wake 2, Resident Evil 4 Remake, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom e Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
Farà discutere l’assenza di Starfield, il colossale GDR fantascientifico di Bethesda lanciato a settembre. Sebbene sia presente in altre categorie, il gioco è stato infatti escluso dalle nomination del GOTY 2023.
Guardando tutte le nomination, Nintendo è l’editore più presente quest’anno con 15 nomination, seguito da Sony Interactive Entertainment/PlayStation con 13 nomination, Xbox (insieme a Bethesda e Blizzard) con 10, ed Epic Games, l’editore di terze parti più nominato, ne ha ottenute 9 in totale.
