Geoff Keighley e la giuria dei The Game Awards 2020 hanno diffuso la lista completa delle nomination di tutti i videogiochi che si contenderanno la gloria nella cerimonia che, come da tradizione, si terrà a dicembre.

Il 10 dicembre in particolare, per tutti coloro che intendono seguire lo show, la giuria sceglierà e comunicherà i vincitori delle varie categorie, e ovviamente anche l’attesissimo vincitore del premio Game of the Year 2020. La corsa quest’anno coinvolgerà quattro pezzi davvero grossi dell’industria, più un outsiders molto interessante: saranno infatti Final Fantasy VII Remake, The Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Animal Crossing New Horizons, DOOM Eternal e l’indie Hades a contendersi il titolo di miglior videogioco dell’anno.

Agguerrite anche le lotte per il miglior gioco multiplayer dell’anno (Call of Duty: Warzone dovrà vedersela soprattutto con i sorprendenti Fall Guys e Among Us, quest’ultimo emerso dall’anonimato negli ultimi mesi con un successo senza precedenti) e per le varie categorie di videogiochi, nelle quali troviamo anche i recenti Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla e Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales in corsa per un premio.

Se ve lo state chiedendo, no, Cyberpunk 2077 non è tra le nomination. Come già accaduto ad altri giochi in passato, la release di dicembre impedirà al titolo di CD Projekt Red di far parte della cerimonia dei TGA 2020, e dovrà dunque puntare al prossimo anno.

Per il miglior content creator segnaliamo anche la nomination di Alanah Pearce, che proprio ieri ha annunciato il suo ingresso in Sony Santa Monica dove lavorerà come scrittrice di videogiochi – forse sull’attesissimo God of War II Ragnarok.
